ON MARCH 20, 2023, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 184, AS AMENDED.<br /> <br /> AMENDMENT #1 clarifies that a "municipality," for purposes of this bill, means either an incorporated town or city having a population of 700 or more, or an incorporated town or city having a population not less than 570 nor more than 690 that employees a full-time police department.<br />
