Amends TCA Title 4, Chapter 3; Title 8, Chapter 50 and Title 71, Chapter 1, Part 1.
Under this bill, the department of human services must do the following:<br /> <br /> (1) Develop, implement, and manage a program to provide monthly stipends for certain state employees for the cost of child care services; and<br /> <br /> (2) Determine state employee eligibility to receive a stipend within the following parameters:<br /> <br /> (A) Employees who have children who are not yet eligible for Pre-K, who have children with special needs, who have multiple children, and who do not receive other child care subsidies are to be given priority; and<br /> <br /> (B) Employees who are high-wage earners, as determined by the department, are not eligible to receive a stipend.<br />
