ON MARCH 6, 2023, THE HOUSE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 871, AS AMENDED.<br /> <br /> AMENDMENT #1 rewrites this bill to revise present law pertaining to absentee voting of full-time residents of a nursing home. This amendment authorizes the county election commission to begin the voting at nursing homes 27 days before an election, instead of 29 days before.<br />
