ON MARCH 21, 2024, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 1286, AS AMENDED.<br /> <br /> AMENDMENT #1 rewrites the bill to, instead, authorize a credit union with a state charter to purchase a participation interest in a loan from a bank, another credit union, or another eligible organization, without requiring membership of the borrower of the loan.<br />
