Amends TCA Title 8, Chapter 21, Part 10.
As introduced, requires the Tennessee advisory commission on intergovernmental relations (TACIR) to study the fees assessed by registers pursuant to present law, including, at a minimum, the amount in fees collected, the amount in fees not collected, the method by which the fees are collected, and a comparison of such fees to similar fees assessed in neighboring states; requires TACIR to report its findings to the chair of the senate judiciary committee, the chair of the civil justice committee of the house of representatives, and the legislative librarian by January 1, 2024.
