Amends TCA Title 68.
ON MARCH 6, 2023, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 925, AS AMENDED.<br /> <br /> AMENDMENT #1 makes the following changes to this bill:<br /> <br /> (1) Names this bill “Quinnlee’s Law”;<br /> <br /> (2) Removes the requirement that a provider of home medical equipment services that has a principal place of business outside this state maintain an office or place of business within this state; and<br /> <br /> (3) Requires the board for licensing health care facilities to establish by rule that a provider of home medical equipment services that has a principal place of business outside of this state must identify a contact person who is required to provide the state survey agency and its surveyors access to all survey items, which may include, but are not limited to, personnel files, patient medical records, policies and procedures, data, background checks, abuse registry checks, facility reported incidents, litigation and bankruptcy history, current licensure status, copies of investigations, discipline records in any other state where the provider is licensed, and video records or files, if available.<br />
