Amends TCA Title 55, Chapter 50, Part 8.
Present law permits municipalities and counties to pass an ordinance or resolution to allow a person to deposit their driver license with a court in lieu of bail. Additionally, the court must issue a receipt, and the license must be forwarded to the department of safety. Also, the person must have their license in their possession when driving a vehicle and must display it upon demand for any officer or agent of the department. <br /> <br /> This bill deletes the above provisions entirely. <br />
