Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 4.
Under present law, a high school student is eligible for a dual enrollment grant if the student (i) is a resident of this state; (ii) admitted to an eligible postsecondary institution as a dual enrollment student; (iii) the student either is a junior or senior in high school, or has completed the eighth grade and is enrolled in a TCAT; and (iv) submits an application, as required by TSAC.<br /> <br /> This bill provides, instead, that a high school student is eligible for a dual enrollment grant if the student (i) is a resident of this state, (ii) has completed the eighth grade and is admitted to an eligible postsecondary institution as a dual enrollment student; and (iii) submits an application, as required by TSAC.<br />
