Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 1.
ON MARCH 18, 2024, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 2764, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 rewrites the bill to, instead, authorize LEAs to extend career and technical education (CTE) class sizes and averages for CTE classes in grades 6-8; however, the CTE classes in grades 6-8 must not exceed the maximum class size and average set for general education classes in grades 7-12.
