Amends TCA Title 15, Chapter 2 and Title 49.
ON APRIL 3, 2023, THE SENATE SUBSTITUTED HOUSE BILL 644 FOR SENATE BILL 668, ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1, AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 644, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 revises the provisions of this bill relative to the study to be conducted by the commission to provide, instead, that the commission study financial literacy in this state, determine the scope of the study, and submit a report of the findings of the study and the commission's recommendations to the general assembly. This amendment provides that the report may be completed by a contractor employed by the commission and that the contractor may be paid for the contractor's services with funds raised by the commission.
