Amends TCA Title 55, Chapter 50 and Title 55, Chapter 51.
ON MARCH 30, 2023, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 1437, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 makes the following changes to this bill: (1) Limits the application of the authority granted in this bill to a minor issued a motorcycle learner's permit and who has completed a certified motorcycle education course approved by the department; and (2) Changes the effective date from July 1, 2023, to January 1, 2024.
