ON APRIL 17, 2023, THE HOUSE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 1566, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 deletes the power, which would have been granted by this bill to the town of Oakland, to impose fees on persons or entities developing land within the corporate limits as the city deems appropriate to pay the cost of capital improvements and other expenses related to such developments.
