Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 6 and Chapter 439 of the Public Acts of 2023.
Under present law, as a strategy for assessing and certifying students' career readiness and providing students with more choices in identifying career pathways, LEAs and public charter schools are required to provide each high school senior the opportunity to take nationally recognized assessments in the 2023-2024 school year. This bill expands this requirement, providing that LEAs and public charter schools must provide this opportunity to each high school in the 2023-2024 school year, and in each subsequent school year.
