Amends TCA Title 36, Chapter 3, Part 6.
ON MARCH 18, 2024, THE HOUSE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 2168, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 rewrites the bill to, instead, clarify that an order of protection for domestic abuse remains in effect during an appeal from a final ruling on the order of protection by a general sessions court or by an official authorized to issue such an order unless the order expires by operation of law.
