ON APRIL 8, 2024, THE HOUSE SUBSTITUTED SENATE BILL 1945 FOR HOUSE BILL 2174, ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1, AND PASSED SENATE BILL 1945, AS AMENDED.<br /> <br /> AMENDMENT #1 revises the provision in the bill providing that "food service establishment" does not include an establishment whose primary business is other than food service, that incidentally makes casual, occasional food sales for two days or less while an organized temporary event is being conducted less than one-quarter mile from the establishment by, instead, providing that "food service establishment" does not include grocery stores that may, incidentally, make infrequent casual sales of uncooked foods for consumption on the premises, or any establishment whose primary business is other than food service, that may, incidentally, make infrequent casual sales of coffee or prepackaged foods, or both, for consumption on the premises or on the road and sidewalk in front of the establishment while an organized temporary event is being conducted less than one-quarter mile from the establishment.<br /> <br /> ON APRIL 10, 2024, THE SENATE NON-CONCURRED IN HOUSE AMENDMENT #1.<br /> <br /> ON APRIL 15, 2024, THE SENATE RECALLED SENATE BILL 1945 FROM THE HOUSE.<br /> <br /> ON APRIL 15, 2024, THE HOUSE RETURNED SENATE BILL 1945 TO THE SENATE.<br />
