Amends TCA Title 2, Chapter 7.

DESIGNATED RESTROOMS FOR CAMPAIGN WORKERS This bill authorizes a county election commission to designate restroom facilities in a building in which an election is to be held that are for the use of workers or volunteers working for a campaign. Workers and volunteers of a campaign working outside of a polling place may use the designated restroom facilities in the building in which the election is held that have been designated for use by such workers or volunteers, but must not enter the room or rooms where voting takes place. CLOTHING WITH CAMPAIGN MATERIAL The bill requires a worker or volunteer of a campaign to cover or remove clothing or accoutrements bearing campaign material before entering the boundaries, marked by signs, within 100 feet around designated entrances of a building where an election is being held. A worker or volunteer of a campaign who enters the boundary without covering or removing campaign material, or who attempts to solicit votes within the boundary, commits a Class C misdemeanor. PENALTIES The penalties for a Class C misdemeanor include imprisonment of not more than 30 days or a fine not to exceed $50, or both, unless otherwise provided by law.
