ON MARCH 11, 2024, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 2432, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 clarifies that a county, municipality, metropolitan government, utility district, local education agency, or other local governmental entity may purchase gasoline or diesel fuel in the open market without public advertisement or competitive bidding when purchasing gasoline or diesel fuel in bulk amounts that would exceed the applicable bid limits.
