Amends TCA Title 2, Chapter 10.
This bill prohibits a state or local contractor or person, business, corporation, nonprofit organization, or other entity who receives a grant or subsidy from this state pursuant to an appropriations act, during the period between the execution of the contract or award of the grant through the completion of the contract or grant period, from taking either of the following actions: (1) Directly or indirectly making a contribution, or promising expressly or impliedly to make a contribution to a political campaign committee or a candidate or person for a political purpose or use; or (2) Knowingly soliciting a contribution from any person on behalf of a political campaign committee or a candidate or person for a political purpose or use.
