Amends TCA Title 8; Title 53; Title 56; Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71.

Tennessee HB0037 authorizes insurers offering group insurance plans to adopt or amend a state preferred drug list (PDL) to ensure that non-opioid drugs approved by the FDA for pain management are not disadvantaged compared to opioids. The bill applies to non-opioid drugs after they have been FDA-approved for at least nine months and includes provisions related to reimbursement for healthcare prescribers and hospitals, which were later removed in Amendment #1. The effective date of the bill is changed to January 1, 2026.
