Amends TCA Title 33; Title 39; Title 53; Title 63 and Title 68.

Tennessee SB1153 amends various sections of the Tennessee Code Annotated to regulate the prescribing and treatment practices of physicians and podiatrists concerning themselves and their immediate family. The bill prohibits these medical professionals from prescribing, dispensing, or administering medication to themselves or their immediate family, with exceptions for minor, short-term, or emergency situations, and requires them to maintain records of such treatments. Additionally, it allows for treatment within their regular scope of practice if no other healthcare provider is available within 30 miles of their primary practice site.
